This application is compatible exclusively with GDC64 accessories running firmware version -006A or higher.
For GDC64 units operating on firmware versions -006A and above, users should utilize the "GDC64Wx" application. Conversely, for devices with firmware version -0050 and below, the appropriate version is the "Legacy GDC64Wx" application.
The GDC64Wx software offers a visual interface displaying various weather parameters across the United States and Canada when connected to a GDC64 TAIU equipped with a compatible Heads Up XM weather receiver.
Supported data displays include U.S. and Canadian radar imagery, strike information, shear data, topography, satellite images, as well as METAR reports from both countries. Additionally, the app can show the last known aircraft position on the map, which users can zoom and pan to examine specific areas.
The application continuously tracks the user's location even when running in the background; however, prolonged use of GPS in this mode may significantly reduce battery life.
This software is intended solely for informational purposes and is not suitable for navigation or operational decision-making.
